Experienced SEO Specialist – Content + Technical SEO (Ongoing Work, Strategy Provided)
Job Description: We're looking for a well-rounded SEO specialist who’s fluent in both content and technical SEO. This role is ideal for someone who can follow a clear strategy, work efficiently within predefined systems, and help scale ongoing projects. What We’re Looking For: -Strong understanding of on-page SEO and content structuring -Ability to optimize existing content with a focus on search intent, readability, and proper keyword placement -Confident rewriting headlines, meta descriptions, and intro copy to align with ranking goals -Comfortable re-optimizing thin, redundant, or low-performing content and applying fixes to better meet search intent. -Ability to identify and troubleshoot technical SEO issues (indexation, internal linking, structured data, etc.) -Proficient with both site crawling tools (like Screaming Frog) and keyword research platforms (like Ahrefs or SEMrush) -Can follow a detailed scope of work and replicate tasks at scale -Comfortable working asynchronously and meeting deadlines without hand-holding Practical Example: Content Consolidation Work May Include: -Reviewing overlapping or redundant pages and identifying consolidation opportunities -Merging content into a single, structured page based on provided direction -Mapping redirects from deprecated URLs to the new consolidated page -Cleaning up repetitive or outdated language -Applying structural edits that support readability Nice to Have (Not Required): -Familiarity with WordPress site structure and plugins -Experience collaborating on deliverables with an SEO strategist or lead Scope: -Executing repeatable SEO tasks based on a defined strategy -Auditing and optimizing existing WordPress pages -Implementing technical SEO recommendations as outlined in provided documentation -Occasional ad-hoc analysis or support when bandwidth allows This is a contract position with the potential for ongoing, long-term work for the right person.
