Description: I'm looking for a skilled and thoughtful video editor—preferably someone who is female (trans or cis) or non-binary and identifies as sapphic or is deeply familiar with LGBTQ+ culture—to help bring a heartfelt, long-form video series to life. As part of a project exploring LGBTQ+ and sapphic spaces in the U.S., I’ve gathered hours of footage across several southern U.S. states. This includes interviews, travel vlogs, and visits to LGBTQ+-owned and sapphic-centered businesses, bars, and community spaces. I am willing to work closely or collaboratively as needed to ensure you get what you need in terms of direction or additional material (such as voice overs). Inspiration or styles: Gaycation (Elliott Page Vice TV series from 2016), Anthony Bourdain No Reservations Scope of Work: Review and organize raw video footage (several hours total) Craft a polished, story-driven video from unscripted material Add captions, transitions, background music, and visual polish Identify areas where voiceover could strengthen the narrative (I'm happy to record VO as needed) Help establish a consistent visual tone and emotional arc (Optional but appreciated) Edit a few short teaser clips for TikTok/Instagram Ideal Qualifications: Familiarity with or personal connection to LGBTQ+ and sapphic community themes Proven experience editing documentary, vlog, or storytelling-based content Strong narrative instincts—able to build emotional arcs from real footage Native English speaker or fluent with excellent grasp of tone and nuance Comfortable with collaborative feedback and flexible delivery timeline U.S.-based preferred (not required) Project Type: Flat-rate preferred, with budget flexibility depending on experience and scope. There is strong potential for ongoing work, as this may become a full YouTube series.
