We are seeking a skilled public relations/media relations specialist to assist in securing interviews and news coverage about the ongoing Uyghur genocide in East Turkistan. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in media outreach and a proven track record of working with journalists and news outlets. Your primary responsibility will be to engage with media partners and secure impactful coverage to raise global awareness about this critical human rights issue. Responsibilities: Pitch interviews and media appearances for representatives of the East Turkistan Government in Exile (ETGE) and the East Turkistan National Movement (ETNM). Secure op-ed placements in major publications. Build and maintain relationships with journalists, editors, and producers across a wide range of media outlets, including mainstream, conservative, and independent platforms. Provide regular updates on media outreach progress and placements. Requirements: Proven experience in public relations, media outreach, or journalism. Strong media contacts in U.S. and global outlets. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Ability to work independently and adapt to fast-paced media cycles. Understanding of international human rights issues is a plus. Compensation: $2,000 per month (approximately 40 hours per month at $50/hr).
