DEVOPS: Help me launch and manage my application on Heroku
Hello, I have two environments on Heroku, staging and production. I need to understand how to manage their PostGres/Redis databases, and learn how to run my scripts on these remote DBs. In staging I want to run my seed script often, we use this to develop locally and staging should be often "reset" to match our schema and mock data. In Production I need to understand how to build the schema and or update the schema without affecting existing data. Strong experience with Heroku: Deployments, heroku run, environment variables (DATABASE_URL), Heroku Postgres add-on, buildpacks, basic dyno management. Proficient in Node.js. Expertise with TypeORM: Configuration (especially using environment variables for connection strings), migrations, and seeding (familiarity with typeorm-extension seed is a plus). Experience with PostgreSQL: Understanding connection strings and basic troubleshooting. Basic Linux Shell Scripting (Bash): Ability to read and debug simple .sh scripts. Strong debugging and problem-solving skills. Can you help me get there?
