Housing Navigation Specialist/ VA
I am seeking a compassionate and highly organized individual with experience navigating the affordable housing system to assist with the following: - Research and identify available low-income, affordable, and Section 8 housing opportunities in the target cities. - Contact property managers and leasing offices to inquire about current and upcoming vacancies, eligibility, and waitlist procedures. - Complete and submit applications for all relevant housing programs and properties - Add to waitlists for affordable and subsidized housing, and confirm. - Follow up with properties regularly to check on application status and waitlist movement. - Notify of any openings or application deadlines Preferred Qualifications: - Direct experience with Section 8/Housing Choice Voucher programs, or city housing authorities. - Familiarity with affordable housing databases and local nonprofit resources. - Excellent communication, organizational, and follow-up skills Please send a brief note about your experience or why you’re interested in this role.
