Senior Accounting Manager
Design and development firm seeks a part-time Senior Accounting Manager. S/he will provide accounting, tax, operational analysis, financial analysis, financial reporting, and forecasting and budgeting services in an effective, efficient, accurate, and timely manner. Individual is responsible for regular controller functions, including payroll, accounts payable, general ledger accounting, financial and statutory reporting. Primary Responsibilities: • Analyze and interpret financial data and recommend changes to improve systems and financial performance • Develop, maintain and abide by a comprehensive reporting calendar for operational, financial and tax reports required by management and external regulatory authorities • Close books (monthly and annually) and complete a comprehensive account analysis within 15 business days after each month-end • Provide timely and accurate financial projections as requested • Provide timely and accurate income, payroll, business and other tax statutory reporting • Provide timely and accurate internal financial and operational analysis and reporting • Coordinate and provide the requisite information required by tax or other auditors • Maintain banking and financial institution relationships • Maintain job cost system, and prepare construction draws Qualifications: • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration or equivalent work experience • Minimum of 6 years related work experience in the real estate industry • Experience in property management and/or construction • Yardi Voyager experience is required • Proficient in Excel, Word and other Microsoft products • Financial reporting and financial analysis skills • Strong organizational, verbal and written communications skills • Ability to work independently and multi-task • CPA, preferred • Paychex and/or other payroll & accounting systems experience a plus
