About the Role: We’re seeking an experienced HR Business Partner (HRBP) to provide on-call coverage during a leave of absence. This temporary contract position is ideal for someone with strong employee relations expertise, particularly in California, who can also navigate other U.S. state and local employment laws. This role will primarily support our kitchen staff across the country, with occasional involvement in matters relating to corporate employees. Key Responsibilities: • Manage employee relations cases, including investigations and documentation • Provide timely and practical guidance on California and multi-state employment law • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure fair and consistent application of policies • Assist with ad-hoc HR tasks as needed, such as policy interpretation and compliance reviews • Act as an on-call resource for escalated issues, responding as needed What We’re Looking For: • 3–5+ years of HRBP or Generalist experience, with a strong employee relations background • In-depth knowledge of California employment law and experience across other U.S. jurisdictions • Experience supporting hourly, field-based employees in a fast-paced environment • Ability to work independently and flexibly with strong judgment and discretion • Previous experience in hospitality, restaurant, or retail environments is a plus Contract Details: • Duration: July 2025 through December 2025 • On-call only, with hours varying based on business needs • Remote (must reside in the U.S.) To Apply: Please send your resume and a short note describing your employee relations experience and availability during the contract period.
