Financial Analyst – Small Business Clients (Accounting + Advisory Support)
We’re looking for a detail-oriented Financial Analyst with an accounting or bookkeeping background who is passionate about helping small business owners understand their numbers. In this role, you’ll review monthly financial data, provide clear insights, and/or meet with clients to walk through their financial reports in a way that makes sense—even if they’re not financially savvy. You’ll be responsible for reviewing the following: • Income Statements (Profit & Loss) • Balance Sheets • Cash Flow Statements • Budget vs. Actual Reports What You’ll Do: • Review financial reports prepared by bookkeepers • Add clear, plain-language comments and insights • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities in client financials • Host virtual meetings with clients to explain their financial performance and answer questions • Help clients align their financial reports with their business goals and budgets Ideal Candidate: • Background in accounting, bookkeeping, or financial analysis • Strong communication skills—especially with non-finance folks • Comfortable using tools like QuickBooks, Xero, or similar • Able to explain complex financial data in a simple, relatable way • Bonus if you’ve worked with service-based small businesses and have a relevant certification Note: We plan to close the proposal no later than Wednesday, May 14th and continue private conversations.
