Role Overview We seek a skilled contract attorney with direct experience in at least two of our core practice areas. You will work on a project and ongoing basis, collaborating with the firm on legal strategy, document drafting, and client implementation. Ideal for solo practitioners or part-time contract lawyers seeking meaningful, flexible work with a reputable firm. Key Responsibilities: - Draft and review estate plans: Wills, Revocable/Irrevocable Trusts, POAs, Advance Directives, SLATs, Hybrid DAPTs, etc. - Review and advise on business succession documents and entity structuring. - Assist with trust/estate administration and probate filings. - Research and analyze complex legal matters, including multigenerational planning and Medicaid eligibility. - Participate in strategy sessions and collaborate with other professionals (CPAs, advisors, financial planners). Requirements: - J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school. - Active license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction (Florida preferred but not required). - Minimum 5 years' experience in estate planning, elder law, or business planning. - Outstanding legal drafting and communication skills. - Ability to work independently with high attention to detail. - Familiarity with WealthCounsel, or comparable drafting software is a strong plus. - Comfortable working remotely, has secure tech, and confidential document handling practices. Preferred Qualifications: -Located in South Florida (for potential in-person client support or collaboration). - Familiarity with Florida-specific probate and guardianship rules. - Capacity for 30+ hours per week of ongoing availability.
