Bookkeeper Needed to Catch Up QuickBooks and Prepare for CPA Filing
Description: I’m looking for an experienced and detail-oriented bookkeeper to help me catch up on my QuickBooks for last year and this year. Some of my business expenses have been mixed with personal credit cards, and I need someone who can accurately categorize and reconcile everything. Additionally, I have not yet sent out 1098 statements for last year, so part of the job will be assisting me in generating and issuing those. Once we are fully caught up, I may need your ongoing support to coordinate with my CPA to ensure my taxes are filed properly. Scope of Work: • Review and update QuickBooks for the past and current year • Categorize and reconcile all transactions (including those from personal credit cards) • Help prepare and send out 1098 statements • Organize and prepare financials and reports needed for my CPA • Provide recommendations or create a checklist of missing information, if needed • Potentially assist with CPA communications during tax filing Requirements: • Proven bookkeeping experience (especially in QuickBooks Online) • Familiarity with handling mixed personal/business expenses • Understanding of issuing 1098 forms • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines • Clear, prompt communication Preferred: • Experience working directly with CPAs • Familiarity with U.S. tax preparation support work • Availability for future ad-hoc projects if a good fit Timeline: • Immediate start preferred • Goal is to have everything ready for CPA as quickly and accurately as possible To apply, please include: • A short summary of your experience • Examples of similar work you’ve completed • Your availability and estimated timeline to complete the catch-up work • Your hourly rate
