Trademark Specialist – Trademark Search, Opinion, and Filing
We are seeking a qualified trademark professional (attorney or experienced trademark agent) to help secure a U.S. trademark for our business. The ideal candidate will guide us through the initial trademark search, assess our eligibility, and file the application with the USPTO. I've checked the USPTO website, and the name did not appear. I prefer to work on a flat fee basis. Situation: there is a EU based company that has begun to operate with that name in the US. I'd like to trademark the name. Scope of Work: - Conduct a comprehensive trademark search to confirm availability of our desired trademark. - Provide a legal opinion on whether the mark is likely to be approved and registrable. - Evaluate whether we qualify for trademark protection under current USPTO standards. - Provide guidance on how effectively the trademark can be protected and enforced. - Prepare and file the trademark application with the USPTO. - Address basic questions and provide counsel throughout the process. Minimum Requirements: - Experience conducting USPTO trademark searches and filing trademark applications. - Ability to deliver a written opinion on eligibility and registrability. - Knowledge of potential risks or conflicts that could arise during the trademark application process. - Strong communication and responsiveness. - U.S.-based and familiar with U.S. intellectual property law. Nice to Have: - Experience working with startups or companies in financial services or technology. - Availability for brief follow-up support after filing (if needed).
