Grant Writer Needed for Faith-Based Film Adaptation – Beyond The Door
We’re developing a feature film adaptation of Beyond The Door — a gripping, faith-rooted stage play based on a true story of addiction, trauma, recovery, and redemption. This project centers on empowering women, breaking generational cycles, and elevating African American voices in film. We’re seeking an experienced grant writer to help us secure funding from arts foundations, film-focused institutions, and socially driven Grantmaker's. If you’re passionate about storytelling with impact, we’d love to work with you. Responsibilities: Identify and research grant opportunities (film, faith-based, BIPOC-led, women’s initiatives, etc.) Write tailored, compelling grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and supporting documentation Draft production-ready budgets and project descriptions as needed Maintain tracking of applications, deadlines, and reporting requirements Collaborate with our creative team to align proposals with project messaging and tone Ideal Candidate Profile: 3+ years experience writing successful grants (film, arts, or nonprofit sectors preferred) Excellent writing and research skills Familiarity with arts/film grant institutions like NEA, ITVS, Sundance Institute, Chicken & Egg, etc. A strong sense for mission-driven, trauma-informed, or faith-based storytelling Organized, independent, and responsive communicator Project Type: One-time project with potential for ongoing work as the project progresses
