Web Designer Needed to Build Squarespace E-Commerce Site for Pet Supply Brand
Yinz & Yappers is a Pittsburgh-inspired pet supply company offering unique, high-quality products for cats, dogs, and their humans. We’re on a mission to give back—donating a portion of our monthly profits to local animal rescues. We’re looking for a skilled and creative Web Designer to build a beautiful, user-friendly Squarespace e-commerce website that captures our brand’s fun, community-focused spirit and makes it easy for customers to shop and learn about our mission. Project Goals: Design and build a responsive e-commerce website on Squarespace Showcase products for both pets and humans (merchandise, accessories, etc.) Integrate e-commerce functionality with clear navigation and a seamless checkout experience Include a blog/news section to feature rescue stories and brand updates Highlight our mission and monthly donation efforts Connect to social media and email marketing tools (Mailchimp, etc.) What We’re Looking For: Proven experience building Squarespace e-commerce websites (please include portfolio) Strong design skills with an eye for clean, modern, and playful layouts Understanding of UX/UI best practices for online stores Experience with SEO basics, product setup, and mobile optimization Ability to provide light branding guidance if needed (color palette, typography, etc.) Bonus: Experience in pet-related or mission-driven brands Deliverables: Fully functional Squarespace site with up to 15 product listings Mobile-friendly design Connected domain and all basic backend settings configured Basic training or documentation for future content updates Timeline: We’d like to launch within the next 4–6 weeks. Start date is flexible, but sooner is better!
