Paid Filmmaker Role: ‘BARE SKIN’ Docuseries (NYC)

I’m producing BARE SKIN, a New York City-based docuseries that explores what it really looks like to rebuild life after addiction. Each episode follows a deeply personal story of resilience, shot with an eye toward beauty, honesty, and intimacy. I’m looking for a deeply intuitive videographer to join me as a co-creative partner in bringing this vision to life. This project is not about addiction as a downfall—it's about what comes after. It's about resilience, transformation, and the quiet, profound moments of becoming. Each episode centers on one pivotal “five-second moment” that reshaped a life. Told through vérité-style visuals, natural light, and emotionally rich storytelling, the series is poetic and raw—echoing the style of films like Honeyland and The Florida Project. I need someone who: * Shoots handheld, naturalistic, and sensory-rich footage * Can capture both intimate interviews and vérité B-roll with emotional nuance * Understands contrast—light and shadow, stillness and motion, candid and composed * Has an eye for visual metaphor and isn't afraid of ambiguity or stillness We're currently in pre-production and shooting will take place in New York City. I value honest collaboration, emotional integrity, and storytelling that invites awe rather than gives answers. If you’re a cinematographer who resonates with layered, human-centered narratives and wants to create something meaningful, I’d love to connect. Let’s make something that matters.
