What is your current level of experience in freelance work?
I am seeking both a skilled architectural designer and a separate interior designer to collaborate to add at least one half bathroom and to convert an attached garage into two bedrooms. The expectation is for each project to involve a minimal amount of your time (I.e., meeting at a class C neighborhood investment rental on only a few occasions and then moving on to the next project). You will comprise the “Phase 1 team” and hopefully be a collaborative, engaging, resourceful part of this and future short-term projects that include an interior designer (not a “decorator”), an architect (or architectural designer, if not *yet licensed), and a residential home appraiser. You’ll also briefly interact with subcontractors (the “Phase 2 team”) who will provide details about the scope of work (SOW) required for the renovation project based upon your building renovation plans. You’ll also briefly interact with general contractors who will bid on the project based upon both your plans and the subcontractors’ SOW. The ideal (phase 1 team) candidates should have experience in space optimization and an eye for modern aesthetics. The Phase 1 team should also prioritize budget-friendly renovations, as each property is for multiple, unrelated renters (“members”), not for a family’s dream home. Phase 1 team deliverables include detailed floor plans, 3D renderings, and material selection advice while *initially visiting the property (fast-paced decisions required). If you have any license, degree, certification, exam, etc (ARE, CSE, CID, BA, AA, etc.), as well as a strong portfolio showcasing similar projects, we would love to see your work and discuss our vision further.
