Experienced Federal Litigation Consultant for Maryland Case – Response Drafting & Review Support
We are seeking a highly educated and experienced legal professional to assist with preparing a Plaintiff’s response in an active federal case in Maryland. This is a time-sensitive project with the response due in 11 days. The case has already progressed to the point where both the original complaint and the Defendant’s response (each approximately 30 pages) have been filed. We are now preparing the Plaintiff’s reply and want to ensure it meets the threshold for surviving dismissal and advancing to trial. We are offering a reasonable flat rate for your assistance, which may include: • Reading the original complaint and the Defendant’s response (if necessary) • Helping to draft or refine the Plaintiff’s response • Providing 1–2 rounds of revisions or strategic/legal review This is an ideal project for a legal professional with strong litigation experience and a background in federal civil procedure, particularly someone who is detail-oriented and able to work independently and communicate clearly. Ideal Candidate Will Have: • A JD or equivalent legal education from an accredited institution • Demonstrated experience with federal court pleadings, especially in Maryland • Strong knowledge of FRCP Rule 12 motions, dispositive motion standards, and pleading sufficiency • Exceptional legal research and writing skills • Proven ability to analyze complex legal documents quickly and thoroughly • Experience helping pro se litigants or smaller legal teams is a plus • Ability to work within a deadline-driven environment • Professionalism, responsiveness, and confidentiality are essential To Apply: Please provide a brief overview of your experience with federal litigation, and your proposed flat rate for this engagement.
