Accounting Setup & Optimization in Mews for Boutique Motel
We’re a boutique motel that recently transitioned to Mews as our property management system, and we’re looking for someone with direct experience working in Mews to help us optimize our accounting and reporting setup. Important: Please do not apply unless you have built reports or configured accounting categories in Mews before. Familiarity with Mews is required. The goal: We want to reduce the time spent on monthly accounting by improving how data is categorized and reported within Mews. Right now, reconciling everything takes several hours—we want to make it fast, simple, and reliable. We need help with: • Separating and reporting revenue by channel (Direct, Airbnb, Booking.com, Expedia, Expedia Hotel Collect) • Configuring accounting categories and tax handling in Mews • Creating or refining Mews reports that support reconciliation • Mapping payment types and improving clarity for payouts • Ensuring the data is structured in a way that supports export to QuickBooks/Xero (if applicable) You should have: • Direct experience working in Mews PMS • Proven track record of setting up or optimizing accounting/reporting in Mews • Hospitality or OTA accounting experience is a big plus • Strong communication skills and a collaborative working style This is likely a short-term project with the potential for follow-up work as we evolve.
