QuickBooks Online (QBO) Cleanup Specialist – One-Time Project
Project Overview: We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and experienced QuickBooks Online (QBO) professional for a one-time accounting project, with the potential for ongoing monthly bookkeeping work. This project involves: - Completing and reconciling historical transactions for two existing QBO accounts - Setting up a brand-new QBO account for a third entity, including chart of accounts, preferences, and system integrations - The goal is to ensure all three files are accurate, up-to-date, and fully reconciled in preparation for tax filing (note: tax filing is not required as part of this role). Key Responsibilities: - Review and enter missing historical transactions - Reconcile bank, credit card, and other accounts - Clean up and correct prior entries and categorizations - Set up a new QBO account, including: - Chart of accounts - Bank feed connections - Default settings and user permissions - Ensure all data is clean, accurate, and organized - Communicate regularly with clear updates and flag any issues - Prepare the files for handoff to a CPA or tax preparer Requirements: - Strong hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online (QBO) - Deep understanding of accounting principles and reconciliation best practices - Preferred: CPA license or equivalent certification - Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills - Ability to work independently and maintain data confidentiality - Strong communication and organizational skills Additional Information: - This is a one-time project involving 3 QBO files - Opportunity for ongoing monthly bookkeeping work for the right candidate - Flexible schedule and remote work To Apply: Please send your resume, a brief summary of your QBO experience (including types of businesses and years worked), availability, and whether you hold a CPA license or equivalent.
