Position Overview We are seeking a highly experienced, detail-oriented Part-Time Accountant to manage and maintain accurate financial records for our U.S. nonprofit operations. The ideal candidate is proficient in QuickBooks, understands nonprofit accounting, and is familiar with CRM platforms like Virtuous. Knowledge of 401(k) administration and audit preparation is essential. Key Responsibilities • Maintain and manage the organization’s financial records in QuickBooks, ensuring all entries are accurate and up to date • Reconcile bank and credit card statements monthly • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and monthly financial reporting • Prepare for annual financial audits and work directly with auditors • Monitor compliance with financial policies and grant requirements • Work with our CRM (Virtuous) to integrate and track financial data related to donors and campaigns • Support payroll processes and 401(k) plan administration • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and nonprofit regulations • Collaborate with internal teams to streamline accounting workflows and reporting • Provide financial insights to assist leadership in strategic planning Qualifications • Minimum 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a nonprofit setting • Expertise in QuickBooks (Online and/or Desktop) • Experience with CRM platforms; Virtuous CRM experience is a strong plus • Strong understanding of nonprofit accounting principles and IRS regulations • Familiarity with 401(k) administration and audit processes • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail • Excellent organizational and communication skills • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Preferred • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field • Experience working with multi-program or multi-location nonprofits • Passion for service and alignment with the mission of The GOD’S CHILD Project
