Product Engineer – Self-Cleaning Litter Box
Project Overview: We are developing an innovative Self-Cleaning Pet Litter Box. The design concept is complete with detailed sketches and a structured prototype build plan. We are seeking a Product Engineer to translate these sketches into CAD models, mechanical schematics, and manufacturing-ready blueprints. Scope of Work: - CAD Modeling: - Translate provided sketches into 3D CAD models for precise dimensions and mechanical validation. Mechanical Schematics: - Create technical blueprints for key components, including: - Self-sealing waste system - Litter dispenser with spoked wheel - Hay trough mechanism - Ramp and slotted platform design Automation and Sensor Integration: - Design sensor layouts for waste detection and timed litter refilling. - Ensure smooth integration with the motorized broom mechanism. Prototype Preparation: - Prepare CAD files for 3D printing or CNC machining. - Assist with material selection and cost-effective sourcing. Assembly and Manufacturing Guidelines: - Develop Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) documentation. - Optimize designs for mass production and easy assembly. Requirements: - Proven experience in pet product design or automated home devices. - Expertise in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Fusion 360). - Knowledge of sensor integration and automation mechanisms. - Experience with DFM/DFA principles. - Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively. Deliverables: - Complete 3D CAD Models of the Self-Cleaning Rabbit Litter Box. - Mechanical Schematics with clear dimensioning and labeling. - Wiring Diagrams for automation and sensor placement. - Exploded View Diagrams for assembly instructions. - Bill of Materials (BOM) and sourcing recommendations.
