Job Title: Swimsuit Production: Sew Swimwear from Provided Tech Pack + Fabric Sourcing
Description: We are looking for an experienced and skilled seamstress or clothing manufacturer to produce a swimsuit from a provided tech pack. The ideal candidate should be familiar with swimwear construction, fabric selection, and production techniques. In addition to sewing the swimsuit based on our tech pack, we need assistance with sourcing suitable swim fabrics for the project. Responsibilities: Review and interpret the provided tech pack to ensure all design and technical specifications are clear. Sew the swimsuit based on the exact measurements, pattern, and stitching details outlined in the tech pack. Assist with sourcing high-quality swimwear fabrics, including but not limited to Lycra, Spandex, and other performance fabrics suitable for swimwear production. Provide guidance on fabric selection based on durability, stretch, comfort, and water resistance. Offer advice on color options, print materials, and other fabric properties that will enhance the final product. Ensure the final garment meets our quality standards in terms of fit, stitching, and overall appearance. Communicate regularly to provide updates and resolve any issues that may arise during production. Skills Required: Experience in sewing swimwear and other activewear (preferably with prior knowledge of swimsuit patterns). Familiarity with fabric sourcing, especially for swimwear-specific materials (stretch fabrics, moisture-wicking, chlorine-resistant). Attention to detail and ability to work with tight measurements and design specifications. Ability to create clean, high-quality finishes (such as seamless edges, professional lining, etc.). Strong communication skills and responsiveness to feedback. Ideally, have access to a sewing machine capable of handling swimwear fabrics (e.g., overlock/serger machine). Desired Experience: Previous experience with swimsuit manufacturing or fashion design for swimwear. Knowledge of sustainable or eco-friendly fabric options for swimwear production. Ability to work with small batches or samples for testing and refinement. Additional Information: We will provide a tech pack with detailed design specifications, including measurements, fabrics, construction details, and stitching preferences. The first project will be a sample swimsuit. If the fit and quality meet our expectations, we may proceed with larger orders. Ability to ship the final product to our location (or work out logistics for production if local). Budget: This project is expected to be a one-time job initially, with a budget based on your rate for sewing and fabric sourcing.
