What is your current level of experience in freelance work?
I'm an interior designer seeking a contract lawyer or experienced legal consultant to review and refine my professional service agreement for a high-end restaurant design project in Arizona. The agreement is approximately 13 pages and follows an AIA-style structure, including scope of work, payment terms, additional services, termination, and general provisions. It also incorporates two subconsultants under my contract: lighting design and graphic design, all covered under a single lump sum fee. My goals for this review are to: - Ensure the agreement is enforceable, clearly written, and protective - Flag any legal risks, vague clauses, or inconsistencies - Strengthen terms around project pauses, extended schedules, and subconsultant responsibilities - Clarify liability, reactivation fees, and design scope boundaries The client is a hospitality group based in Arizona, and we will be starting contract negotiation soon. I would like this reviewed around a week, and I’m open to either hourly or fixed pricing. There may be follow-up work later if the client requests edits (as a separate job). I’ve uploaded a redacted PDF version of the agreement for this posting. Once hired, I’ll provide the full version with client detail. Please share your experience with A&E contracts or hospitality design agreements. I’m looking to work with someone thoughtful, efficient, and strategic. Thank you.
