Researcher Needed: Fund the Future of Ethical AI in Policing

Project Overview Voice of Reason (VoR) is a pre-MVP AI startup building a real-time system that evaluates police conduct against local, state, and federal law using NLP and legal mapping. We've filed a non-provisional patent and built a legal database, and we’re now seeking non-dilutive funding to launch our MVP. We’re looking for a grant researcher to deliver a spreadsheet of up to 100 active and well-matched grant opportunities in fields like: AI / Machine Learning for social good Criminal justice reform or legal innovation Public safety / law enforcement modernization Civic tech, transparency, or accountability SBIR/STTR (e.g. NIJ, DHS, NSF, DOJ) Foundation grants supporting policing alternatives, civil rights, or ethical tech Payment Structure $2–$5 per accepted, high-quality grant listing Up to 100 rows total = Max budget of $500 Bonus for unique/private/local grants not widely known Requirements Grants must be active and: Either currently open or recurring with a projected next round NOT closing within the next 30 days If deadline is within 30 days, list the grant but put it at the top of the sheet, and include the deadline clearly Deliverables A spreadsheet (Google Sheets or Excel) with the following fields: | Grant Name | Funder | Description | Funding Amount | Focus Area | Deadline (MM/DD/YYYY) | Link | Recurring (Yes/No) | Why it fits VoR | Formatting Rules: First: list any grants with deadlines within the next 30 days Second: list all other viable grants (rank by strategic fit or amount) Include only U.S.-based, non-dilutive funding Grants must be appropriate for pre-revenue, pre-MVP startups or R&D-stage technology Ideal Candidate Experienced in grant research for civic tech, AI, justice reform, or nonprofits Familiar with SBIR/STTR and major U.S. foundations Able to identify high-fit opportunities and explain why they matter Organized, responsive, and able to deliver in 7–10 days To Apply Please include: A brief intro with relevant experience 1-2 top grants you’d include for VoR (including deadline and why it fits)
