Job Title: Social Media Content Manager for Local Brunch Restaurant (Otto’s Kitchen & Comfort) Description: Otto’s Kitchen & Comfort is a lively, locally loved brunch restaurant in Pittsfield, MA serving Southern-leaning comfort food with a whole lot of personality. Think fried chicken biscuit benedicts, Texas French toast, collard greens, and breakfast burritos. We have a loyal following, a strong menu, and a great story, we just need help telling it consistently online. Please message through Upwork only. We're looking for a freelance social media content manager who can: - Develop and execute a content calendar (3–4 posts per week on Instagram and Facebook) - Create and schedule engaging posts, including: - Weekly menu specials - Event promotions (First Fridays, catering, community dinners) - Seasonal and holiday posts - Behind-the-scenes features - Occasional meme-style content - Use our existing photo library and supplement with visuals you create in Canva or similar tools - Write captions that match our brand voice: cheeky, sarcastic, fun, and community-focused - Handle Reels and Stories when relevant - Schedule posts at optimal times for engagement (no need to respond to comments) - Occasionally create a flyer or simple marketing graphic as needed What We’re Looking For: - Experience managing content for restaurants or food brands is a big plus - Excellent written English with strong grammar and spelling - Familiarity with Canva or similar tools for content creation - A portfolio or Instagram links showing previous social media - Ability to match and maintain a consistent voice and tone across content - Familiarity with basic scheduling tools like Later, Buffer, or Meta Business Suite Project Scope: - Ongoing freelance role starting with a 4-week trial - Approx. 3–5 hours per week - Flexible schedule, but we expect regular weekly posting To Apply: Please send: - A short message about why you’re a good fit for this role - A few examples of your social media work (Instagram links or graphics welcome) - Your hourly rate If you love comfort food, have a sense of humor, and can make a plate of chicken and waffles look as irresistible as it tastes, we’d love to hear from you!
