We are seeking an experienced ETL and SQL Server (SSMS) database architect to help consolidate and streamline financial reporting from multiple credit card processing platforms. Project Overview: Our organization processes payments across several credit card platforms (e.g., NMI, Stripe, Authorize.net, etc.). These processors each export data in different formats (CSV, Excel, API streams). We need to build a robust SQL database (SSMS environment) that can: - Ingest and normalize data from each source - Clean, validate, and transform the data using clear ETL workflows - Enable powerful, consolidated financial reporting (e.g., gross revenue, refunds, fees, net payouts by date, processor, etc.) - Support future data scaling and integrate additional sources with minimal friction Responsibilities: - Design and implement an SQL Server database schema optimized for financial reporting - Develop and manage ETL pipelines using SSIS, custom scripts, or preferred ETL tools - Normalize disparate datasets to a common structure (currency, timestamps, field names, etc.) - Ensure data integrity, reconciliation, and traceability between source exports and destination tables - Collaborate with our internal operations and finance teams to define reporting needs - Provide documentation and light training on how to manage/extend the database Requirements: - Proven experience with SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) - Strong ETL background with tools like SSIS or custom scripting (Python, PowerShell, etc.) or API development - Experience working with financial datasets - Excellent communication and documentation skills
