AI Developer – Firestop Construction Takeoff Automation & UL Assembly Matching
Project Overview: We are a specialty trade contractor in the construction industry, focused on firestopping for commercial buildings. We’re seeking a developer or small team to build an AI-powered tool that can: Analyze construction drawings (PDF, CAD, or Revit files) Detect firestop-related elements (penetrations through rated walls, slab joints, etc.) Match penetrations and joints to UL-rated firestop assemblies based on material, size, wall type, etc. Output a report of matched assemblies with quantities and (optionally) cost/labor estimates. This tool will help automate takeoffs and ensure code-compliant firestopping across large-scale projects.
