Coding of 2023-2024 NFL Facebook coach data
We would like a program (probably in Python – but other programs will be considered) that downloads NFL coach data from the 2023 and 2024 NFL factbooks. The factbooks are online and the 2023 factbook is at this link (https://operations.nfl.com/updates/the-game/2023-nfl-record-and-fact-book/). A sample of the coach data for one team is contained in the attached file (sample_NFL_coachData.pdf). We want to have all of the coach data for 2023 and 2024 put in an excel or csv file that is formatted as shown in the attached excel file (2023_2024_NfLfactbooktemplate). We will provide another file which has coach names and ids that can be used to assign ids to most of the coaches. New coaches will be assigned new ids.
