We are a holding company actively acquiring software and information businesses—two so far, with more in the pipeline. As our portfolio grows, we’re looking for a part-time, fully-remote Operations & Finance Generalist who can own critical day-to-day functions across bookkeeping, financial ops, HR, and general administration. You’ll be the connective tissue that keeps our numbers intelligible, our people supported, and our vendors paid. Where you can make a difference - Maintain timely, GAAP-compliant bookkeeping and monthly financial reporting for multiple entities - Build and manage budgets, cash-flow forecasts, and scenario models to support strategic decisions - Coordinate HR workflows—job postings, candidate scheduling, onboarding/offboarding, payroll & benefits administration - Own end-to-end A/R and A/P cycles, liaising with customers, suppliers, and other partners - Serve as the go-to resource for ad-hoc operational projects (e.g., system migrations, policy docs, compliance checklists) - Identify gaps in our processes and propose tools or automations that improve accuracy and save time Requirements You are: - A detail-oriented self-starter who takes full ownership of open-ended problems - Financially savvy with the judgment to flag anomalies before they become issues - Comfortable context-switching between bookkeeping, people ops, strategy, and vendor coordination - A clear, concise communicator—equally confident emailing vendors or briefing executives - Process-minded: you enjoy refining workflows and documenting SOPs - Tech-curious and eager to automate repetitive tasks (Zapier, spreadsheets, basic scripts, etc.) - Motivated by working in a small, high-trust environment with minimal bureaucracy Your experience/skills: - 3+ years in bookkeeping, accounting, or finance operations (QuickBooks Online a plus) - 2+ years supporting HR/admin functions—payroll, benefits, or talent coordination - Demonstrated experience managing A/R, A/P, and month-end close independently - Working knowledge of budgeting, cash-flow forecasting, and basic financial analysis - Familiarity with U.S. employment compliance and remote-team HR best practices - Proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets - Excellent written & verbal English; comfort collaborating across time zones - Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field—or equivalent professional experience
