Build a Scraper + Automated Product Sync for Furniture Website (Rebrand + Shopify/Integration)
Objective: I’m launching a rebranded furniture website and want to automatically pull product data (title, images, price, dimensions, etc.) from an existing furniture site in real time or on a scheduled sync, but under my own brand, pricing, and domain. Key Requirements: Scraping or Data Extraction Scrape product listings from a furniture website I will provide. Extract: Product title Price Description Dimensions/specs Image URLs (downloaded and hosted locally) Category SKU or product ID Optional: stock/availability Data Transformation Add custom markup (e.g., +20% to price) Replace all branding, names, or references to the original site Rewrite or paraphrase product descriptions (optional, for SEO) Website Integration Push this data into my online store (Shopify / WooCommerce / Custom) Maintain category structure Schedule sync (daily or hourly) Automation Entire process should run automatically via cron job or script Notify me of sync status or errors Legal Caution Rehost all images (no hotlinking) No use of original brand’s name, logos, or trademarked assets Rewritten product descriptions preferred Deliverables: Scraper script (Python preferred, or Node.js) Data pipeline (CSV, JSON, or direct store integration) Documentation or setup guide Optional: Hosting recommendation or deployment Bonus Skills (if available): Shopify/WooCommerce API integration Image optimization Experience in product catalog sync Basic SEO practices (meta titles, H1 tags, unique descriptions)
