Mechanical Engineer with Biomechanics Experience (Contract / Remote) We are developing a commercial-grade selectorized exercise machine and looking for a mechanical engineer with a background in biomechanics or kinesiology to help bring the concept to life. Project Overview: • Protected by a provisional patent. • Based on a legacy product with 20+ years of proven use. • Target market: commercial fitness facilities. • Goal: Move project to a detailed design and DFM phase. Build a working prototype ready for licensing or market launch. You’d Be a Great Fit If You Have: • Experience with SolidWorks or other CAD software. • Knowledge of biomechanical modeling tools like OpenSim or AnyBody. • FEA skills (e.g., using ANSYS, Abaqus, or SolidWorks Simulation). • Familiarity with GD&T and ISO/ASTM safety standards. • An understanding of human movement mechanics, joint loading, and ergonomics. Bonus Points: • Designed or worked on fitness/rehab equipment. • Experience with CAM/CNC or rapid prototyping.
