Plivo VOIP - API Updates - Ruby on Rails
Job Description Conext LLC is seeking an experienced Ruby on Rails developer to enhance our current VoIP services with our vendor Plivo. The ideal candidate/s will also implement a 3-way calling feature using the Plivo Voice API. This project involves understanding our existing codebase, enhancing API interactions, and ensuring seamless operation of our voice functionalities. Responsibilities: Quickly understand the current implementation of the Plivo API. Enhance Plivo Voice API while maintaining existing functionalities. Trouble-shoot ongoing, intermittent call issues Ensure high-quality, maintainable, and well-documented code. Perform thorough testing to ensure all features work as expected. Collaborate with our in-house development team to integrate the solution. Requirements: Proven experience with Ruby on Rails development. Strong knowledge of VoIP services and APIs, specifically Plivo. Experience with integrating third-party APIs into existing systems. Familiarity with RESTful API design and implementation. Understanding of XML responses for call handling. Proficiency with version control systems, preferably Git. Ability to write clean, efficient, and well-documented code. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment. Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience with other VoIP services and APIs. Experience with other related technologies and frameworks. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies. Knowledge of web development best practices and security.
