Job Description: Project Manager – Education & IT Projects (Contract) Position Title: Project Manager – Education & IT Employment Type: Contract Location: Hybrid/Remote Reports To: Director of Programs Position Summary We are seeking a certified, high-performing Project Manager to lead complex Education and IT initiatives across a growing organization. This contract-to-hire role demands a disciplined project leader who excels in execution, stakeholder communication, and the ability to deliver on-time, on-budget outcomes. You’ll manage multiple concurrent projects supporting digital learning, technology implementations, and cross-functional education programs designed to expand access and impact. Key Responsibilities Project Leadership & Execution Lead the full lifecycle of education and IT projects from initiation through delivery. Create and manage detailed project charters, timelines, work breakdown structures (WBS), and budgets. Monitor KPIs and manage scope, risk, and change controls using PMI best practices. Drive accountability across workstreams to meet deliverables and deadlines. Education Program Oversight Coordinate cross-departmental efforts for mentorship programs, digital learning modules, and workforce education initiatives. Ensure seamless integration of learning management systems (LMS), virtual training platforms, and student experience tools. Oversee vendor and curriculum partner collaboration to ensure on-time implementation. IT Project Delivery Manage CRM and system integrations (Salesforce, HubSpot), cloud-based software deployments, and IT infrastructure upgrades. Work closely with internal users and developers to gather requirements, test, and roll out digital solutions. Ensure cybersecurity, data privacy, and compliance across all technology platforms. Stakeholder Communication & Reporting Serve as the primary liaison for internal teams, funders, tech vendors, and leadership. Develop weekly status reports, Gantt charts, and dashboards for executive briefings. Lead standing meetings and project updates with clarity and confidence. Required Qualifications Education & Certifications Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Information Technology, Education, Business, or related field. Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred. Must provide proof of valid project management certification. Scrum, Agile, or other project management certifications accepted. Experience 5+ years of progressive experience managing complex projects in education, nonprofit, or technology sectors. Demonstrated success leading projects that involve multiple stakeholders, tight timelines, and evolving scopes. Experience with federal or foundation-funded education programs preferred. Technical Proficiency Expertise in project management software (e.g., Smartsheet, Asana, MS Project, Jira). Familiarity with CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot), LMS platforms, and digital education technologies. Strong understanding of data integration, systems mapping, and workflow optimization.
