Introduction & About Steel Square: Steel Square builds, installs and services industrial automated material handling equipment both in our facility and at an end user’s location. In most applications our equipment will be built, run off completed, and FAT accomplished prior to shipping. Once in the field and the mechanical and electrical installation is complete, we work with the end user to adjust handshakes and timing to fully integrate into either new or existing conveyance or palletizing systems. Overview of Proposed Project This project will be for a material handling system that is ship to order system. This system utilizes a robot for stacking. The robot transverses a rail system to stack at different locations. For safety the robot is monitored by an area safety scanner at each stacking location. Breaking the safety area of an area scanner will stop the robot and associated systems. Conveyor and associated field devices will be using re purposed field I/O. The existing Versamax system will handle the controls. Connecting the field I/O and devices will need to have been laid out and documented prior to on site installation. Electrical and Programming skills required. Steel Square will be looking for someone with knowledge with GE / Machine Edition V10.0 PLC software. In addition Machine Edition HMI software will be used for system operator interface. Screen development skills to create screen controls that will help the operators resolve small issues on their own. Pallet and package movement will need to be adjusted to facilitate system through put. Electrical skills needed will include but not limited to wiring M12 sensor cable ends from a pig tail cable and similar wiring task. Completed schematics for the system will need to be finished (in AutoCAD) once the end user is satisfied with system performance. Thank you and look forward to discussing further
