Job Description: We are seeking an experienced automotive engineer or testing professional to assist in certifying a rear bumper to meet FMVSS 571.223 (Standard No. 223: Rear Impact Guards). The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the standard’s requirements, prior experience with crashworthiness testing, and access to or knowledge of relevant testing procedures and facilities. Responsibilities: Review our rear bumper design for compliance with FMVSS 571.223. Guide or oversee the necessary certification testing process. Provide documentation and verification to support compliance. Requirements: Proven experience with FMVSS 571.223 or related vehicle safety standards. Engineering background in vehicle safety or crash testing preferred. Ability to deliver testing and certification documentation.
