Key Responsibilities: Cover criminal court appearances for both felony and misdemeanor cases in Kern County. Review and integrate briefing materials, case strategy memos, and pre-prepared scripts. Communicate with supervising attorneys regarding appearance outcomes and any necessary follow-up. Maintain a high standard of professionalism and advocacy in all court proceedings. Be punctual, reliable, and effective under pressure in high-volume court calendars. Requirements: Active California Bar license in good standing. Minimum 2 years of criminal defense experience (felony and/or misdemeanor). Strong courtroom presence and ability to work independently. Reliable transportation and availability to appear in Kern County courts. Ability to follow firm direction while exercising sound legal judgment.
