Utah-Based Divorce Attorney for Remote Same-Sex Divorce (International Client)
I am seeking a licensed Utah family law attorney (preferably in Utah County) to handle a remote, uncontested divorce for a same-sex couple married via Utah’s online marriage system. Both spouses are Israeli citizens with passports, one also holds a U.S. passport the other a Czech passport. The marriage was performed remotely via Utah County’s virtual marriage service. The couple is now separated and residing abroad (in Israel and Italy). The marriage is not registered in Israel, and we want to avoid filing in Israel altogether. Only one party (the client) wants the divorce; the other party is non-cooperative but not contesting actively. We are looking for: A lawyer who has experience filing divorces for non-resident online marriages, especially involving international clients. Someone who can handle document preparation, filing, and service, and guide us through notarization from abroad (e.g., U.S. Embassy in Tel Aviv).
