Description: We're looking for a talented and reliable freelance UI/UX app designer to support the design phase of a Progressive Web App (PWA). The project requires someone with strong experience in creating engaging, intuitive app interfaces and who is confident producing wireframes and bespoke graphics for a development-ready design handoff. You’ll be working alongside our internal team and web developer to visualise a calm, relatable, and user-friendly digital experience that aligns with a refined Corporate Memphis style. Think rounded characters, soft indoor/outdoor scenes, seasonal moods, and gentle animations - but with a clear, clean interface that's super easy to navigate. Key Responsibilities: - Create detailed wireframes for all app pages - Design custom illustrations and icons as needed (based on a defined mood board and style guide) - Develop a consistent visual language using a pre-agreed colour palette inspired by soothing tones - Ensure mobile-first, responsive design with accessibility in mind - Prepare and organise all graphic assets for developer use Must-Have Skills: - Proven experience in app design (preferably for wellness, health or lifestyle apps) - Strong portfolio showing both UX thinking and visual design - Proficiency in tools like Figma, Adobe XD or Sketch - Ability to work to a defined style and evolve it with creative input - Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach Nice-to-Haves: - Experience working with PWAs - Understanding of animation principles or microinteractions - Familiarity with British culture/scenery for scene setting Project Scope: This project will initially focus on designing wireframes and graphics for the app’s core functionality, which includes key screens like the home/landing page and login page, along with a cohesive visual style and illustrations. The engagement is expected to continue through to project completion, with the scope evolving as needed to support the developer’s requirements and any additional features introduced during the build.
