Experienced Food Scientist Needed to Reverse Engineer / Develop Sauces

I’m looking for an experienced food scientist or product formulation specialist to reverse engineer and recreate a nationally recognized premium sauce for private-label production. The freelancer must accurately replicate the original sauce’s taste, texture, appearance, and consistency, with particular attention to maintaining a clean-label ingredient list. Minor ingredient adjustments or modifications to achieve clean labeling are both expected and welcomed. Deliverables will include: A detailed recipe/formula including ingredients, precise weights, percentages, and any specific processing instructions required to achieve consistency and texture. Recommendations for ingredient sourcing, including preferred suppliers. Optional (but appreciated): Recommendations for potential co-packers specializing in sauces. In your proposal, please include your estimated timeline for project completion, anticipated hours required, and hourly rate. If this initial project is successful, we anticipate developing an additional 2-3 sauces, transitioning future projects to fixed-price agreements. Future Opportunity: Successful completion of this project will lead to additional fixed-price opportunities to reverse engineer at least 2-3 more blends, as well as possible future product development from scratch.
