Experienced Data Protection / GDPR Consultant Needed
We’re looking for an experienced Data Protection / GDPR consultant to join our consulting network and provide flexible, on-demand support to our diverse client base. As businesses face increasing pressure to manage data responsibly, your expertise will help organisations navigate the complexities of privacy regulation—particularly GDPR—and implement tailored, practical solutions that work in real-world settings. This is an ideal opportunity for independent consultants or professionals seeking flexible, project-based work with a variety of clients and industries. What You’ll Be Doing • Providing expert advice on GDPR compliance and broader data protection frameworks. • Conducting gap analyses, DPIAs, and risk assessments for client organisations. • Drafting and reviewing privacy policies, data processing agreements, and consent mechanisms. • Guiding clients through data subject rights requests and breach management and incident management procedures, as required by regulations. • Embedding privacy by design into client systems and processes. • Delivering training and awareness sessions to build a culture of compliance. • Staying up to date with regulatory developments and evolving best practices. Desirable Experience • Previous work in consulting, advisory, or freelance data protection roles • Experience in the healthcare or medical sector, with an understanding of health data regulations • Exposure to AI-related data privacy challenges, including algorithmic transparency and automated decision-making • Strong working knowledge of GDPR, UK DPA, and other relevant global data protection laws • Certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPM, or similar are a plus Why Join Us?
