Financial Analyst and CFO-level Expertise for Financial Modelling
We are seeking an exceptional Senior Financial Analyst with CFO-level expertise to design, build, and deliver a comprehensive financial model for an early-stage AI system focused on the healthcare sector. This role is critical in preparing a robust, investor-ready financial architecture that supports multiple scenario analyses, funding strategies, and operational forecasting aligned with the company's product roadmap and go-to-market plan. - Key Responsibilities: - Lead the creation of a dynamic financial model that reflects the business strategy, R&D milestones, clinical engagement cycles, and potential commercialization paths of a healthcare-focused AI product. - Structure multiple financial case scenarios, including: - Research-only / academic impact model - B2B licensing model (clinics, insurers) - Direct SaaS delivery - Strategic exit and acquisition modeling - Integrate cost structure elements such as data acquisition, clinical partnerships, regulatory processes, AI model training, and support services. - Collaborate with the founders and advisors to forecast runway requirements, headcount evolution, and burn rate. - Support financial due diligence processes, including detailed audit trails, versioning of assumptions, and capital allocation logic. - Deliver a polished, transparent model ready for investor presentations, grant applications, and board-level discussions. - Requirements: 8+ years of experience in financial planning & analysis (FP&A), investment banking, venture finance, or CFO-level roles (or similar in responsibilities) —preferably in tech, AI, or healthcare startups. - Strong track record in developing financial models for early-stage ventures, including scenario modeling and valuation. - Excellent understanding of R&D-heavy operational frameworks and healthcare ecosystem nuances. - Advanced proficiency in Excel (mandatory); familiarity with modeling tools like Causal, Fathom, or Mosaic is a plus. - Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to explain assumptions and outputs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Preferred: - Experience supporting capital raises (pre-seed to Series B) or due diligence with VCs or strategic investors. - Exposure to AI, med-tech, or clinical software ventures with regulatory or insurance-linked workflows.
