Audio Engineer

I am looking for someone with expertise in Adobe Audition. I have a limited knowledge how to use the software. I am in the process of producing a podcast, and need some help with how to use this software. 1. The Basic Edit with SFX – Now that I have laid down a single track, I want to begin the basic production process. Inserting multiple tracks to include music and other voices. While this sounds like a simple task, it’s not for me. I need to be able to do the following: add reverb, put the voice in a chamber… etc. I want to be able to assemble dialogue. I am not good at looking at the visual presentation on the screen and know exactly where to put the edit in. 2. Long form Production – I used to do a lot of “stories” for amusement parks. These were highly produced 10 – 30 minutes in legnth. I would like to better understand how to record long version sessions and not have to spend all day going back jerking around with editing. For example, I am reading an entire story from the big book. I am listening to what I recorded and I will stutter on a word. I want to take the word “or sentence” out and rerecord just that tiny little section. It sounds simple but the timing will be off on the reread, or the levels will be off. I need to be able to edit the long portions and make it sound like it was a perfect read all the way through. 3. Making Music Work for Me – I find so much out there “music” that I love and would like to integrate into my production. The music bed a at the beginning, the trail at the end, and the drum beats in the center just don’t work when you do a basic snip together. I want to be able to bring these elements together and make them match. That includes levels, BPM, harmonizing through the effects that Audio Audition can accomplish. This is really critical for concert spots, auto commercials, and working with agencies that do very tailored spots for their clients. This is where I will make money! 4. Podcasting – This is a two part question for me. This has two different pieces for me. I need to be able to create production, long for version that has the natural breaks for commercials and other elements added post production. Last year a radio station in Georgia approached me about doing an 80’s styled “Friday Saturday Night” radio show that is driven by the great dance/club music for that era. I am sure that Audio Audition would work for this but again, this is a 2-3 hour show with the music included. 5. For Everyone’s Eyes – I want to be able to do basic editing on photographs and inbed them into my audio production. This will include short clips, photographs that I can add movement to, and additional effects like poofs of smoke or a radom blowing apart the picture. 6. Video – The basics on editing together video clips.
