Update CPT/ICD-10 Codes in Neuropsych Billing Guide (Concussion Care Focus)
We’re looking for a freelance medical billing and coding expert to help update our company’s billing guide for concussion management services. This is a short-term project suited for someone familiar with CPT/ICD-10 coding—especially as it relates to neuropsychological evaluations and concussion care. Scope of Work: - Review a Word document version of our current Billing Guide - Update outdated CPT codes with current equivalents - Add any newly introduced CPT codes relevant to concussion and neuropsychological testing - Remove deprecated codes - Refine or clarify existing use case descriptions as needed - Ensure terminology aligns with current CMS guidance and best practices The document is mature and well-developed. For someone experienced, this should take no more than a few hours. Ideal Background: - Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), or equivalent - Experience with neuropsych billing and documentation - Familiarity with sports medicine or concussion-related reimbursement is a strong plus - Strong attention to detail and up-to-date knowledge of billing standards Deliverables: - Marked-up or revised version of the Billing Guide (in Word) - Summary of any significant changes or recommendations (optional but helpful)
