We’re seeking a skilled and proactive content creator to research, write, design, and publish engaging, SEO-optimized blog content on a monthly basis. This role blends writing, light design, and CMS publishing—ideal for someone who can manage a full content cycle with quality and consistency. Scope of Work: • Research and write 4 original blog posts per month on topics related to local government innovation, civic tech, digital services, and government operations. • Ensure content is high fidelity, human-written, and SEO-optimized (structured content, metadata, keywords, etc.). • Create basic images/graphics to accompany each post using Canva, Figma, or similar—must align with GovPilot’s visual brand guidelines. • Format and publish posts directly in HubSpot CMS, including meta descriptions, alt text, internal links, and CTA integration. ⸻ Requirements: • Fluent in English, with strong grammar, tone, and storytelling skills. • Ability to share a portfolio of relevant writing and/or published work. • Experience publishing in HubSpot CMS is required. • Basic design skills (e.g., Canva, Figma, Adobe XD) to create supporting blog graphics. • Familiarity with enterprise SaaS, B2B, or GovTech content is a strong advantage. • Comfortable adhering to a content calendar and publishing deadlines. ⸻ Nice to Have: • Background in public sector, local government, or civic tech • Experience collaborating with marketers, editors, or designers in a fast-paced environment ⸻ Engagement Details: • Monthly retainer for 4 posts (1,000–1,500 words each) • Fully remote, asynchronous work • Ongoing engagement preferred (3+ months) ⸻ To Apply: Please include: • A short message or cover letter • Portfolio of writing and any design samples • Your monthly rate for the full scope (4 blog posts with visuals and HubSpot publishing) ⸻ Let me know if you’d like a condensed version for platforms like Twitter/LinkedIn or a client-facing checklist for onboarding this freelancer.
