Upright Education is a leader in Bootcamp training for adult learners. Upright Ed partners will universities and colleges across the nation to provide bootcamp programs to their learners through their continuing education departments for adult workforce training. We empower learners to start a new career in the tech industry through immersive, engaging curriculum that prepares individuals with little to no experience to obtain a job in an entry-level role. Upright Ed is looking for an experienced CyberSecurity professional to support the development of instructional material including lesson plans, visual slide decks, demonstrations and learner exercises, and workshop projects for our CyberSecurity Bootcamp. The material will outline everything a learner will need to know about each topic and include, where appropriate, fully outlined instructor demonstrations and learner practice exercises. We are looking for someone with deep understanding of working in CyberSecurity with a desire to help prepare the next generation for the field. Our program is delivered in a hybrid format with 2x a week lecture sessions, 1x a week workshop session, and supplemental asynchronous reviews and lessons. The asynchronous reviews and lessons are developed in Articulate Rise 360...would love a candidate comfortable with developing these directly in Rise. We will provide you with draft material and the subject topics with the expectation you run with it and structure material that is easy for the instructor to use and is engaging for learners. We welcome any suggestions or updates to the flow and concepts covered in the outline (attached). This program should be designed to prepare adult learners with no experience to pass the CompTIA Security+ exam and secure their first entry-level position in the field. Scope of Project: Weeks 1-7: Review and update existing session presentation decks, lesson plans, labs (TryHackMe), and exercises. Weeks 8-16: Develop content for session presentation decks, lesson plans, demonstrations and exercises, and workshops. Review and select appropriate TryHackMe labs to supplement and support the sessions. Weeks 17-18: Develop CompTIA Security+ prep material including session content, practice exams, etc. Capstone Project: Develop instructions and material for assigning learners a capstone project that showcases all of the skills they have learned in the training program. Rubrics: Develop grading rubrics for instructors for all graded projects, exercises, workshops, and the capstone project. Timeline: Week 7 Material Review & Update - Due: 6/2 Weeks 8 & 9 Material - Due: 6/6 Weeks 10 & 11 Material - Due: 6/13 Weeks 12 & 13 Material - Due: 6/20 Weeks 14 - 16 Material - Due: 7/2 Weeks 17 & 18 Material - Due: 7/9 Capstone Material - Due: 7/16 Grading Rubrics - Due: 7/18 Weeks 1 - 6 Material Review & Update - Due: 8/1 This is a tight timeline and the deadlines will be aggressively maintained in order to support the pace of our learners.
