Company Overview: We are an event ticketing platform used by mid-sized musical theatre organizations to sell their tickets. We are looking for a skilled Cloud Infrastructure and DevOps Engineer to help us move to AWS then to join our team. Description: We are looking for an experienced AWS Infrastructure Engineer to support and improve our cloud environment on a part-time, long-term basis (4–8 hours per week, with flexibility). This role combines hands-on infrastructure work, performance tuning, and emergency support for a live SaaS platform. You’ll be joining a small, fast-moving team maintaining a LAMP-based application deployed on AWS with EKS and CI/CD pipelines via GitHub Actions. What You’ll Do: • Set up and manage monitoring and alerting (preferably using Datadog) • Continuously optimize AWS costs and performance • Implement and maintain auto-scaling across EC2 and EKS • Tune infrastructure for performance and reliability • Troubleshoot urgent issues and participate in on-call emergency response • Proactively suggest improvements and execute on Jira tickets Tech Stack: • Cloud: AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, EKS in us-east-1a/b) • OS: Debian Linux • Web Server: Apache • Framework: PHP / Laravel • CI/CD: GitHub Actions • Monitoring: Datadog (preferred) What We’re Looking For: • Solid AWS experience supporting production systems • Confident with Linux, Apache, and PHP-based environments • Track record in cost optimization, scaling, and infrastructure tuning • Comfortable with CI/CD pipelines and GitHub Actions • Available for ad-hoc support and on-call emergencies • Self-starter with clear communication and follow-through Preferred: • Experience with Datadog • Prior work on SaaS platforms • Looking for a stable, long-term freelance engagement
