Social Media Manager for Sports & Culture Podcast – Behind the Breaks

Job Overview: We’re looking for a creative, results-driven Social Media Manager to take our podcast brand to the next level. Behind the Breaks is a high-energy podcast at the intersection of sports, culture, and collecting—with a growing audience and bold ambitions. We’ve got 15+ episodes recorded, a unique voice, and a vision to hit $10K/month in monetization within 90 days. We need someone who can own our social strategy, grow our audience, and make our content hit harder and reach farther. This is not a “post and ghost” gig. We’re looking for a partner who lives and breathes content, knows how to build hype, and can help us punch above our weight on social. Key Responsibilities: • Build and manage content calendars for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and X (Twitter) • Edit and repurpose video/audio clips into punchy, platform-native content • Write engaging post copy and captions that reflect the tone of the show (raw, smart, direct, a little gritty) • Use trends, hashtags, and community engagement tactics to grow our audience • Monitor performance analytics and optimize based on what’s working • Coordinate with the podcast host for upcoming episodes, promos, and key moments Who You Are: • You have experience running social media for a podcast, creator, or brand in the sports/culture space • You know how to grow an audience from hundreds to thousands • You’re fast with video editing tools (CapCut, Premiere, Descript, etc.) • You understand what actually works on TikTok and Reels • You’re reliable, proactive, and thrive in creative chaos • Bonus: You have interest or experience in the trading card world What We’ll Provide: • Full access to podcast content and branding assets • Clear voice/tone guide to keep things consistent • Weekly check-ins with the host for content coordination • Flexibility and creative freedom to try bold ideas Commitment: • ~5-10 hours/week to start, with potential for more • Flat monthly rate preferred, or hourly with weekly deliverables • Long-term potential if we click and the brand grows To Apply: Please include: 1.
