Shopify E-Commerce Creator for Custom Bespoke Suit Platform
Dr Lucas is a storytelling-driven luxury brand (“Child of the Globe”) expanding into bespoke suiting. We’re seeking a Shopify expert to build our e-commerce platform from the ground up—showcasing custom-tailored suits whose linings tell unique stories. You’ll own the full store setup, theming, product configuration, and integration of narrative-driven design elements. Responsibilities Discovery & Planning Conduct a kickoff interview to align on brand vision, customer journey, and storytelling requirements Map out site architecture: home, product, collection, story, and blog pages Theme Development Design and develop a custom Shopify theme (Liquid, HTML/CSS/JS) reflecting our luxury aesthetic Implement interactive story modules inside each product page (e.g., expandable “inside-lining” story panels) Product Setup & Configuration Configure bespoke suit products with customizable options (fabrics, cuts, measurements) using Shopify’s variant and app ecosystem Integrate a measurement app or wizard for customer fit inputs Apps & Integrations Install and configure necessary apps for upsells, reviews, email capture, and analytics Set up Shopify Payments, shipping rules, taxes, and fulfillment workflows SEO & Performance Optimize site speed, mobile responsiveness, and on-page SEO (meta tags, alt text, structured data) Testing & Launch Conduct thorough QA: cross-browser testing, checkout flow validation, and mobile UX Train the founder on Shopify admin for order management, product edits, and content updates Post-Launch Support Provide 1 month of bug-fix support and minor enhancements after go-live Required Skills & Experience 3+ years building custom Shopify themes and stores Expert in Shopify Liquid, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and responsive design Experience with product personalization/customizer apps (e.g., Bold Product Options, Infinite Options) Strong UX/UI sense for luxury/fashion e-commerce Familiarity with Shopify’s ecosystem: apps, APIs, webhooks, and storefront 2.0 Proven track record launching high-end DTC fashion or luxury goods sites on Shopify Excellent communication and ability to translate brand stories into engaging web experiences
