Full-Stack WordPress Developer (Frontend + Backend + Azure) | Retainer-Based Role
We are looking for a skilled and reliable Full-Stack WordPress Developer who can manage both frontend and backend tasks, including integration with APIs and hosting on Microsoft Azure. This is a long-term, retainer-based role for a mission-driven healthcare platform. The developer must be capable of working independently to implement secure, well-performing WordPress-based solutions with backend integration, chatbot workflows, and Azure deployment. ⸻ Key Responsibilities: • Design and develop WordPress pages (custom themes, Elementor, or similar) • Build backend integrations (API-based chatbot workflow, secure file uploads) • Host and manage the WordPress site on Microsoft Azure • Ensure HIPAA/GDPR-compliant storage and transfer of medical data • Optimize website performance and responsiveness • Fix bugs and assist with new feature development as needed Required Skills: • WordPress development (frontend and backend) • HTML, CSS, JS, and either PHP or Node.js/Python • Microsoft Azure hosting experience (Web Apps, Blob Storage, Functions) • API integrations (e.g. chatbots, form submissions to backend logic) • Understanding of healthcare privacy standards (HIPAA/GDPR preferred) • Ability to work independently with minimal hand-holding Compensation: • Monthly retainer: $100 USD/month • Work is task-based and may increase as the platform grows • Long-term opportunity to become the core tech lead on the project ⸻ TO APPLY: Please answer the following screening questions in your proposal: 1.
