Upstart AEC helps U.S.-based architecture and engineering firms build offshore teams in LATAM without the headaches of traditional outsourcing. We handle sourcing, vetting, payroll, benefits, and ongoing support—so our clients get real integration, not just another vendor. We're looking for a fractional Business Development Advisor with deep roots in the AEC space. Someone who knows how these firms think, how buying decisions get made, and how to help us win their trust—and their business. What You'll Do: Advise on business development strategy to help us land and expand key AEC accounts Open doors to new client relationships through your network and industry credibility Work with our founder to refine positioning, messaging, and outbound sales strategy Identify opportunities to improve delivery, client onboarding, and ongoing engagement Bring a pragmatic, no-fluff approach to growth—what works, what doesn’t, and what to do next What We're Looking For: 10+ years in the AEC industry, ideally with experience in business development, operations, or consulting Deep understanding of how architecture and engineering firms operate and buy services Experience working with or selling to firms in sectors like K-12, healthcare, infrastructure, or government projects Strategic mindset but willing to roll up sleeves and help us execute Based in the U.S. or LATAM with fluent English Why This Role: You’ll work directly with the founder of a fast-growing company that's redefining how AEC firms scale talent.
