Tech Pack Development for Baby and Toddler Clothing
Position: Freelance Technical Designer – Baby & Children’s Apparel Location: Remote or Los Angeles preferred Start Date: Immediate Duration: Project-based, with potential for ongoing part-time work About Us: Maison de L’Enfance is a high-end, DTC baby and children’s fashion brand inspired by European elegance, organic materials, and a sense of ceremony. We are launching a limited debut collection with products ranging from newborn layette to toddler occasionwear. We’re looking for: A detail-oriented and experienced freelance technical designer to help translate creative direction into fully spec’d tech packs for factory development. Experience with baby and toddler sizing, organic fabrics, and premium finishes is preferred. Responsibilities: Create accurate tech packs with construction details, callouts, size specs, BOM Translate inspiration boards and references into production-ready specs Collaborate with creative director and freelance designers to finalize silhouettes Communicate clearly with overseas and/or LA-based factories Assist in fit comments and sample revisions Qualifications: 3+ years experience in children’s wear technical design Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Excel, or tech pack software (Techpacker is a plus) Understanding of U.S. baby/toddler sizing standards Familiarity with organic materials, knitwear, trims, closures for babywear
